BtS--Book 1, Chapter 3

"Jocelyn, meet the Littles, the main employees of the Opening Night Movie Emporium." The sun rose to find Jocelyn at work Monday and Maurice bumbling hastily through descriptions and charts. 
    
    Claudia, Laura and Paula Little were an unusual bunch. After appearing on Disney's Beauty and the Beast, they became known as the party girls, invited to all the major parties in Fantasia, and were V.I.P. guests to Bellatrix's annual Halloween Bash.
    
    Despite their wild, rambunctious natures, Maurice had yet to fire them. They really were good workers, just so long as there weren't any attractive male customers in the store or high society friends.

    Three weeks after that first Monday morning, Jocelyn learned much about the Littles and they had even become friends while at work. They didn't really speak outside of work, not that Jocelyn really minded. She was making friends on her own. 

    "Jocelyn, come to lunch with us!" 

    Jocelyn looked up from her book and saw Belle, Alice and Wendy coming towards her. 

    "Come on, we're meeting the gang at Potts." Belle said. 

    "You have to come!" Wendy chimed in.

    Jocelyn grinned. "Okay, okay. Claudia!" Claudia popped out from the back. "I'm going on lunch break. You're in charge." With cheering from her friends, Jocelyn grabbed her bag and they left. 

    "No, no no no no no. It was Alice who broke the window, not Jasmine." Ariel tossed her red hair over her shoulder. "I've never seen anyone run so fast." 

    Laughter from the table only got louder. 

    "That was you?!" Jasmine giggled. She leaned against Aladdin. "Lady Tremaine wouldn't let me near her store for a month!" 

    Jocelyn looked around at the table. Her life had gone through some dramatic changes. She had to get used to working a “normal” job, something she rarely if ever hard. She also had to get used to having Wendy Darling as a neighbor and passing by the Mad Hatter Haberdashery.  She was used to Wendy now and even Alice and Belle, but to go to lunch with people like Jasmine, Aladdin and Ariel, and have Maurice for a boss, not that you could call Maurice a “normal” boss…

    "Jocelyn..Jocelyn!"

    "What, what?!" Jocelyn jumped. The table burst out in laughter as Jocelyn's face turned red. 

    "I asked if you wanted to come with us to the shed." Wendy grinned.

    "What's the shed?" Jocelyn looked around the table. 

    "Oh I'm sorry, I forgot that you're new so you haven't been there yet." Wendy looked at the rest of the group. "That’s settled then. Okay guys, let's pay and head out."

    "That's not a shed, that's an airplane hanger." Jocelyn said 30 minutes later. Some of the group chuckled.

    "That is the Shed." Alice smiled. "But we need to go to the office first." The group headed towards a low building. The gray paint and large windows left the building looking plain and unassuming. "This is where we can pick up the bands."

    "Bands?"
    
    "Alice..." Aladdin shook his head.

    Alice ran her fingers through her hair. "You're right, I forgot." She smiled sadly at Jocelyn. "The sooner we get inside, the sooner you'll understand."

    As the group entered the building,Jocelyn noticed that it was a lot prettier than the outside of the building. 

    "Anita! Where is she? She's usually here." Wendy leaned against the front counter. 

    A pretty smiling woman emerged from the back, looking to be in her early 30's. Jocelyn's mouth dropped open as she approached the group.

    "Hi Anita, we wanted to show Jocelyn the shed. Did you get a new shipment of bands yet?" Belle piped up. Anita's smile grew wider.

    "The shipment came in just yesterday. So where were you thinking of going?"

    The group formed a circle, more like a team huddle. 

    "Oh let's go to Disney World!" Ariel grinned. "I'm in the mood for some fun rides." 

    "It's Jocelyn's first time, she should pick." Alice placed a hand on Ariel's shoulder.  

    Jocelyn laughed. "Oh no, I don't think I should, I'm still not even sure what the Shed is." 

    "The Storage Shed holds every adventure you could imagine." Heads turned to face Anita. She continued. "In the shed, you could go anywhere, do anything. You can enter the shed by popping into a book, or by popping out of a book." 

    "The shed is the most magical place in all of Fantasia! It's where all the movies and cartoons are filmed and every theme park out in the other world can be found here. Anything is possible in the shed." Wendy piped in and the group nodded their agreement. 

    "Every movie?" Her curiosity grew as Jocelyn listened to Wendy and Anita.

    "Well not every movie. The studios actually produce some of their movies in their world, but we still get to watch it here. Oh but the things you can do in the shed. Why you can-" Wendy continued on.

    "Here we go again." Belle muttered, loud enough for the group to hear. 

    "Oh dear, was I getting carried away?" Wendy blushed.

    "Well, where would you want to go, Wendy?" Jocelyn asked. 

    Wendy's eyes lit up. 

    "Neverland."
